How to Apply - Microbusiness

Eligibility

Individuals and entities who meet at least one of the eligibility criteria set forth in Article XIV, Section 2, may apply for a marijuana microbusiness facility license. Eligibility criteria and requirements are available under Eligibility Information. A checklist outlining required documentation to provide during the time of application can be found under Application Resources.

Congressional District

Applicant entities should determine the proposed location and the associated congressional district of the proposed facility, using the 2010 congressional map boundaries. The map below shows the 2010 congressional district map boundaries. Applicants are not required to reside in the same congressional district as the entity’s proposed facility address.
How to identify the correct congressional district for the proposed location:

  • Click on the DCR Location Tool and enter the proposed facility address
  • The tool will show which congressional district the address is in.
  • Manually enter the district number into the microbusiness license application (It will not auto-fill).

How to use the DCR Location Tool

Before applying, click on the DCR Location Tool below to determine the congressional district, house district, and GPS coordinates where the marijuana microbusiness facility will be located. This information is required as part of the application process; applicants should ensure this information is documented accurately.

For those with an existing address for the proposed location of their microbusiness facility:

  • Enter the address of the proposed facility location into the “Find address or place” search box. The tool will populate the facility's congressional district and GPS coordinates.

For those without an existing address for the proposed location of their microbusiness facility:

  • Enter the latitude and longitude of the proposed facility location into the “Find address or place” search box to populate the congressional district.
    OR:
  • While at the proposed facility location, open the DCR Location Tool. This will automatically populate the facility's congressional district and GPS coordinates.
Reminder: Proposed facility locations must comply with 19 CSR 100-1.100(1)(C), which does not allow a medical or marijuana facility to be within one thousand feet (1,000’) of any then-existing elementary or secondary school, daycare, or church; unless expressly allowed by the local government at the time of application.
