Missouri has 10 Area agencies on aging that cover every county in the State. The Area Agencies on Aging are the local experts regarding programs and services in their local areas. Programs and services are designed by the Area Agencies on Aging to meet the needs of the individuals in their planning and service areas. Therefore, each agency looks a little different. You will be asked to input your 5-digit zip code and then will be transferred to the local agency for assistance. SFY2026 Area Plan Overviews

The Missouri Area Agencies on Aging will be presenting overviews of their Area Plans to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services during April 2025. Please see the map in this link to determine which Area Agency on Aging covers your county and plan to attend the session presented by that agency. During the presentation, you can learn about programs and services available in your county from July 2026 through June 2027.

Missouri State Unit on Aging and Area Agency on Aging Policy and Procedure Manual

The Missouri State Unit on Aging drafted the Policies and Procedures below in consultation with the ten Missouri Area Agencies on Aging in compliance with the Older Americans Act Final Rule which was published on February 14, 2024. The policies and procedures were out for public comment from October 28, 2024, to December 2, 2024. These policies and procedures will ensure that Missouri complies with the Older Americans Act Final Rule.
