Memorandum for Home and Community-Base Services Staff and Stakeholders

DATE: June 26, 2026

FROM: Verena Cox, Bureau Chief

SUBJECT: Transition of Provider Reassessor Training to Relias Learning Management System

This memorandum is to inform all Type 27 provider reassessors of important updates to the reassessor training process. Effective July 1, all required training modules currently available on the Department's webpage will transition to the Relias Learning Management System (LMS). Effective July 1, 2026, providers will be required to use the Relias LMS to complete all assessor training modules and to take the certification exam.

While the training content itself has not yet been updated, we are pleased to share that a full redesign of all materials is underway and expected to be completed by the end of the calendar year. Updated materials will be introduced into the Relias training pathway in phases over the coming months.

To ensure a smooth transition please note the following:
Trainees Currently in Progress

New Trainees

  • Trainees who have not yet begun training should begin using the Relias LMS starting July 1, 2026.

Accessing Relias

  • Trainees can access the Relias training portal at: https://modsds.training.reliaslearning.com/
  • All trainees will need to create a new Relias account.
  • The trainee can create a username or use an email address.
  • All required fields are marked with an * asterisk.

Relias Navigation

  • The trainee will be automatically enrolled in the correct training plan.
  • The training plan can be accessed by clicking 'View Assignments' on the trainee's Relias homepage.
  • The first step of the training plan requires the user to upload their credentials for DSDS to verify. Allow 3-5 business days for credentials to be verified.
  • An email will be sent from HCBS.Training@health.mo.gov once credentials have been verified.
  • Once DSDS verifies the credentials, the trainee will be able to proceed.
  • The final exam will be completed in Relias and becomes available once all modules in the training plan have been completed.

The Department's website is currently undergoing a full redesign, and existing webpages cannot be updated at this time. We anticipate that all new training information will be available on the new website by August 1, 2026. Until then, please refer to the access information provided in this memorandum.
