EMT and Paramedic Licensing Information
Initial Licensing in the State of Missouri
To obtain an initial license in Missouri, all levels of EMT must provide proof of current certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. EMS licenses from other states cannot be “transferred” to Missouri. To obtain a Missouri BEMS license you must follow the procedure for the initial licensing with an initial license application.
You will need current NREMT and fingerprints results submitted and in completed status. It will be the applicant’s responsibility to check for completion before submission. Retain your TCN for that purpose. https://www.machs.mo.gov/MACHSFP/fpstatus.html
To review fingerprint information for a MISSOURI BEMS license see the section below under BACKGROUND CHECKS. Missouri BEMS does not have access to other states fingerprinting agencies.
