Raeann Hatfield has been a volunteer with Young at Heart Resources for six years. Her nominator wrote, “Raeann is an amazing advocate for the residents of Northwest Missouri. She goes above and beyond advocating for what the residents need. The residents love to see her when she comes because they know she will address any issue they have and get to the bottom of the problem. We are very lucky and happy to have Raeann as part of the Young at Heart Ombudsman Program.”

Raeann says, “What I love most about being an Ombudsman is building strong relationships with the residents and their families. I work to build trust and open communication, and to be genuinely interested in whatever they want to talk about. My hope is that they know they can rely on me as their advocate and that I’m committed to actively addressing their concerns and advocating for their rights. I’m grateful for the opportunity to empower and support residents, ensuring their voices are heard.”

In her free time, Raeann enjoy spending time with her family and friends, sharing her love of yoga, trying new recipes, gardening and traveling.

Thank you, Raeann, for your selfless service to residents of long-term care!
