- Mission: The Missouri Brain Injury Advisory Council (MBIAC) mission is to lead in the development of a collaborative statewide system of prevention, public awareness, and provision of services and supports driven by the needs of individuals with brain injury and their families.
- Function: The vision of the MBIAC is excellence in TBI prevention, public awareness, and the provision of services and supports across the lifespan of people with brain injuries and their families.
- SubCommittees: The MBIAC assists the Department of Health and Senior Services by promoting meetings and programs for the discussion of reducing the debilitating effects of brain injuries and disseminate information in cooperation with any other department, agency, or entity on the prevention, evaluation, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of persons affected by brain injuries.

- Compensation: No member shall receive compensation for services, but they shall, subject to appropriations, be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties from funds appropriated for this purpose.
- Member Requirements: Represent people with head injuries, relatives of persons with head injuries, proprietary schools as defined in section 173.600, RSMo, professional groups, health institutions, or private industry and state agencies which administer programs regarding mental health, education, public health, public safety, insurance, and Medicaid.
