Volunteer Kathy Roach

Growing up, Kathy Roach felt like she never had anything to donate to local charities or causes. This made her very sad that she was unable to give. When speaking to a favorite teacher about this, the teacher told Kathy that if she would give her time to help others have a better life, it would be the most precious gift.

Kathy has never forgotten these words and over the years she has gladly given her time to many activities and organizations that involved her kids. As her kids left the nest, Kathy looked for other ways to give back to her community. Kathy turned her focus to serving the elderly. Some older adults are forgotten by family and community, and through Kathy’s dedication to the Silver Hair Legislature, and the Ombudsman program, these individuals are supported and empowered. Kathy has shown us that volunteering is the greatest gift we can all give! Thank you Kathy for your hard work and dedication to the Ombudsman program in Northwest Missouri!
