Cass-Clay Creamery Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Allergens In Ice Cream

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received information regarding the recall of ice cream products because of undeclared allergens.

The following products have been recalled, because they may contain undeclared Brazil nuts:

  • Cass-Clay Maple Nut Ice Cream, 1 Gallon (3.78L), UPC 70422-03404
  • Cass-Clay Premium Light Maple Nut Ice Cream, 1 Gallon (3.78L), UPC 70422-23404
  • Hornbacher's Maple Nut Ice Cream, Half-Gallon (1.89L), UPC 41130-21666

The following product has been recalled because it may contain undeclared peanut oil and soy lecithin:

  • Cass-Clay Premium Light Double Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream, Half-Gallon (1.89L), UPC 70422-24061

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to these ingredients run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled products were distributed in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. All code dates for these products manufactured in Plant # 38-25 are affected.
