La Guadalupana Wholesale Co., Inc. Recalls Pork and Chicken Products Due to Misbranding and an Undeclared Allergen
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received information regarding a recall of pork and chicken tamale products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The products contain egg whites, a known allergen, which are not declared on the product label.
The pork and chicken tamale items were produced on various dates between January 16, 2015 and March 30, 2015. The following products are subject to recall: [View Labels]
- 25 lb. cases containing 100 4 oz. pieces of "La Guadalupana Hot Pork Tamales."
- 15 lb. cases containing 80 3 oz. pieces of "La Guadalupana Hot Pork Tamales."
- 25 lb. cases containing 100 4 oz. pieces of "La Guadalupana Hot Chicken Tamales."
- 15 lb. cases containing 80 3 oz. pieces of "La Guadalupana Hot Chicken Tamales."
- 15 lb. cases containing 60 4 oz. pieces of "La Guadalupana Hot Chicken Tamales."
- 12.5 lb. cases containing 50 4 oz. pieces of "La Guadalupana Hot Chicken Tamales."
The products subject to recall bear the establishment number "EST. 21094" or "P-21094" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
These items produced were shipped to retail locations in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
