AdvancePierre Foods Initiates Voluntary Recall of Select Frozen Peanut Butter Products

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received information regarding the recall of AdvancePierre Foods select frozen products including Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, Peanut Butter and Jelly Graham Cracker sandwiches and Peanut Butter cup products all produced at its Easley, South Carolina factory.

The affected products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The select products subject to this recall were manufactured between the dates of July 17, 2011 through May 18, 2012 and distributed nationwide through retail stores, food service, convenience stores and the USDA commodity foods programs. A list of the specific products being recalled can be found on the AdvancePierre website, advancepierre.com.

The recall was initiated upon learning that their peanut butter supplier, Sunland, Inc., recalled products produced from May 1st, 2012 - September 24th, 2012.
