Wisconsin Firm Recalls Frozen Chicken Products Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergen

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received information regarding a recall of 156,924 pounds of frozen chicken fettuccine alfredo products because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The products contain egg, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.

· 18-oz. trays of “OMAHA STEAKS, 2367 Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo,” bearing the establishment number “P-39949” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The products were packaged and produced on various dates from May 11, 2012, through October 8, 2013, and were shipped to distributors in Nebraska for further distribution through retail and internet/catalog sales. The products may also be identified by the case codes 9502367 or 9802367. The problem was discovered by the company during an internal label review.
