The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received information regarding the recall of Kays Classic Vanilla Bean Ice Cream because of an undeclared allergen. Consumers, who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to pecans, run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The following product is included in the recall:

• Kays Classic Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 48 oz. Round - UPC #0-87848-13021 with a Best if Used By Date of 02/28/14

The product was shipped to Food City and Super Dollar stores located in Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee.
