Playground Stencils
Borrow Stencils from the DHSS Playground Stencils Library
Playground stencils can be used to paint shapes and designs on playgrounds at child care centers, schools and parks. Painted playgrounds have been shown to increase physical activity in young children. Stencil designs are inviting, fun and are great for sites with limited space or playground equipment.
A variety of stencil designs are available to borrow from the DHSS Playground Stencils Library. A stencil request form must be completed by each facility that wants to borrow stencils. The stencils are available on a first come, first serve basis, and not all the stencils will be available at the same time. The organization requesting the stencils is responsible for picking up and delivering them back to Department of Health and Senior Services in Jefferson City.
- To request to borrow the stencils, fill out the Stencil Request Form. E-mail completed form to WorksiteWellness@health.mo.gov.
- View the following document to see the List of Stencils Available. This is a complete list of the stencils owned by DHSS. Not all stencil designs will be available at all times.
- Before painting, read through the Painting Instructions
- Share this Promotional Flyer. You can print it or send it to child care facilities, schools or parks in your local community.
