2007 Public Health Education Project

The Legislative Public Health Education Project was launched by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in conjunction with the local public health agencies in the fall of 2007.

Individuals from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services traveled to local public health agencies in select legislative districts and met with the respective Senators and Representatives of those districts. Districts were selected based on key leadership roles in the legislature. Booklets, health profiles and public health stories were compiled specific to selected district. Other materials used for the Education Project included a presentation and the "Missouri's Public Health System at a Glance" books. All materials were distributed at the meetings.

The booklet has since been updated to include more modern information that impacts public health on a daily basis. A copy of the booklet is attached for your reference.
