BRAKES Hands-on Driving Training
Date: May 3-4, 2025
Location: Manheim Auto Auction, Bridgeton, MO
B.R.A.K.E.S conducts hands-on, advanced driver training events for teens and their parents through both classroom and hands-on experience in a closed course in a controlled environment. Driving exercises include distracted driving awareness, panic braking, crash avoidance, car control/skid recovery, and drop-wheel/off-road recovery. Other elements include proper seat and mirror placement, proper use of seatbelts, eye scanning, CMV safety, what to do during a traffic stop and more. B.R.A.K.E.S. instructors come from various backgrounds, but all have extensive experience in advanced driver training and defensive driving instruction. B.R.A.K.E.S. classes are free but require a $99 credit card deposit to secure your reservation. Workshops are conducted on a weekend and offer five 3-hour training sessions for participants to choose from.

Good Neighbor Car Seat Check Event

This Car Seat Check Event is part of the Black Jack Health and Safety Fair. Space is limited for car seat checks; appointments are recommended. Drive-ups are welcome. Car Seats are available for those who qualify. Restrictions apply. Children must be present to receive a car seat.
