RE: Department Issued Waiver: Confirmation of Employment for Agent ID
Licensees,
Pursuant to 19 CSR 100-1.020(1)(A), the Department is waiving the requirement that the application for a facility agent identification card must include a written offer or confirmation of employment under 19 CSR 100-1.070(2)(H)3.
DCR has determined the good cause for waiving this requirement is to reduce timeframes between hiring and employment start dates for new staff members offered employment at licensed facilities. Additionally, the agent identification card belongs to the individual and is valid for 3 years. While the card is active, the cardholder can choose to work at any licensed facility or can choose not to work in a licensed facility. Therefore, DCR will no longer require a written offer or confirmation of employment for agent ID applicants.
