Healthcare Preparedness

The Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) supports regional collaboration and healthcare preparedness and response by encouraging the development and sustainment of healthcare coalitions (HCC). HPP improves patient outcomes, minimizes the need for federal and supplemental state resources during large-scale emergencies and enables rapid recovery.

The Hospital Preparedness Program is funded through the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response. Our department contracts with the Missouri Hospital Association, St. Louis Area Regional Response System, Mid-America Regional Council, the Department of Mental Health and the State Emergency Management Agency to implement and sustain the program.
