Temporary food stands are short‑term food establishments that operate for no more than 14 consecutive days as part of a single event or celebration. Vendors who set up at fairs, festivals, or similar events may receive guidance or inspections from their local health agency. Before preparing, serving or selling food at an event, vendors should contact their local health agency to learn about the requirements they must meet.
