MEMORANDUM FOR HOME AND COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES STAFF AND STAKEHOLDERS

FROM:             Veronica Jameson, Bureau Chief: Bureau of Policy and Quality Enhancements

SUBJECT:         Family Care Safety Registry Fee Increase

Effective October 1, 2026, the Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) Worker Registration fee will increase to $16.00. The $1 fee increase is a result of a statute change and is required by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The FCSR registration and background screening system will be updated to reflect the new fee for online registrations beginning October 1. Online submissions will include a credit/debit card processing fee of $0.57, resulting in a total of $16.57. The Worker Registration form on the FCSR Forms webpage will be updated with the changes once they take effect. Paper registration forms submitted with the incorrect fee and postmarked after October 1, 2026, will not be processed.

A notice regarding this update has been placed on the FCSR webpage and on the computer system login page. FCSR operators will also notify providers and members of the public when they contact FCSR via the call center.

Any questions regarding this memorandum should be directed to the Family Care Safety Registry at fcsr@health.mo.gov.
