Talkspace is using AI across its clinical workflow and patient-facing services, including through Tee, its AI-powered mental health guide, according to an Aug. 18 CO— by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce report.
The digital mental health platform provides access to online therapy and psychiatry services for approximately 220 million Americans through insurance plans, including Medicare.
King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services recently completed its acquisition of Talkspace in a deal valued at about $835 million.
UHS President and CEO Marc Miller said on the system’s July 28 earnings call that the deal “represents not only a unique opportunity for us to accelerate our presence in the outpatient market, but also creates the nation’s first end-to-end continuum of behavioral healthcare services.”
The deal also gives the health system access to a built-in distribution channel for Tee.
