MANAGED CARE (MC)

ELIGIBLE PROGRAM

Individuals enrolled in a Special Health Care Needs (SHCN) Program have the option to ‘opt out’ of their MC plan for straight Medicaid (fee-for-service). If this option is selected, there will be an ‘opt out’ noted in their MHN record. The individual then has fee-for-service MHN coverage and would qualify for MCCY/MCAW Medicaid eligibility. If an ‘opt out’ is NOT noted, the individual has MC and is NOT eligible for MCCY/MCAW.
