During the Provider Meetings, Dr. Nash received several questions regarding cleaning protocols for the novel multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs), specifically Candida Auris (C. Auris) and Carbapenem-resistant organisms (CROs). As promised, Dr. Nash has provided the following CDC guidance:
- Perform thorough routine (at least daily) and terminal cleaning and disinfection of patients' rooms and areas where patients receive care. Cleaning should be done with a product off of this list, and if nothing on this list is available, cleaning should be done with same product used to clean for C. Diff patients.
