Per the Comprehensive EMS Act of 1998, The State of Missouri only accepts current certification with the National Registry of EMT’s at the level of licensure desired in order to obtain initial licensure.
Please click here to download an application and for instructions on how to submit proof of your current NREMT certification.
Currently, the Missouri Bureau of EMS runs background checks on all licensure applicants at no expense to you. However if you have resided outside the State at anytime in the last five years you are required to provide us with two finger print cards in order to facilitate a national criminal background check. Please click here for instructions on how to obtain fingerprint cards locally. Notice: NCIC Fingerprint checks may take up to thirty days to complete after their receipt.
