TB or Not TB: Case Management in Missouri New
Tuberculosis (TB) training for local public health agencies (LPHAs) and other Health Care Providers is being offered at various locations across the state. The Department of Health and Senior Services’ TB Program staff will provide information and education about basic concepts related to TB prevention and control. Topics covered will include information and activities related to TB diagnosis, management of LTBI and active TB disease, and treatment options for TB, the refugee program, Diagnostic Services Program, and financial assistance available to LPHAs. This is a one and a half day course and participation in the course is a required pre-requisite to participation in the Drug Resistant TB Management class that will be offered later in the year. Registration is free, but required, as class size is limited and printed materials are offered to all participants. TB Contact Investigation Training New
TB Contact Investigation training is being offered by the Department of Health and Senior Services TB Program. This is a two day skill-building workshop that will focus on improving the abilities of staff that are responsible for conducting TB contact investigation interviews. The training will provide an overview of the contact investigation process, basic communication and interviewing skills. For an overview of the course content please see the agenda.
