Iowa Firm Recalls Pork Jerky Product Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergen

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received information regarding a nationwide recall of approximately 1,133 pounds of a pork jerky product because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen, wheat, which is not declared on the label.

The following products are subject to recall: [Label]

  • 16-oz. individual packages of "Formosa Brand Pork Szu (Cooked Seasoned Dried Pork Product)"

The product bears the establishment number "EST. 2446" inside the USDA mark of inspection on the label. The product was produced on various dates through Nov. 29, 2012. There is no expiration date on the product. The product was distributed via Internet and direct sales nationwide.
