Justin's Expands Voluntary Recall of Certain Peanut Butter Products

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received information regarding the expansion of Justin's voluntary recall of certain peanut butter products. The expansion is due to the ongoing Sunland Inc. nationwide peanut recall and the potential of Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

No Justin's almond butter, hazelnut butter or candy bars are involved in this recall.

The products were distributed nationally to numerous supermarket chains and were available for Internet purchase from 3/23/10 to 9/26/12.

The full recall and production information can be found at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm323658.htm?source=govdelivery.
