JOB POSTING: Nutritionist – Joplin City WIC
SUBJECT 1: Upcoming State Holiday. The WIC state agency will be closed, and there will be no MOWINS Help Desk coverage on Monday, January 20.
SUBJECT 2: eWIC Card Storage Reminder. This a reminder that WIC local agencies are to have a secure, locked location for eWIC cards at each location where eWIC cards will be stored. A locked file cabinet or drawer is sufficient to meet this requirement. If you have any questions, please contact your Administrative TA.
SUBJECT 3: eWIC Card Reader/Writers. As WIC participants may relocate during the eWIC pilot, the WIC State Agency will ship one (1) card reader/writer to each local agency that is not included in the Pilot area. This card reader/writer device will be shipped to and should remain at your “main site.” All local agencies will receive additional card reader/writers as the statewide rollout approaches.
SUBJECT 4: Breastfeeding Conference – Save the Date! The Greater Ozarks Breastfeeding Coalition is hosting a breastfeeding conference “Refocus on Breastfeeding with 2020 Vision” in Springfield on May 29, 2020. The featured speaker will be Catherine Watson Genna, BS, IBCLC. The full conference brochure and registration is coming soon. Please see the attached conference flyer.

Completion Rates of wichealth.org Lessons
The number of wichealth.org lessons completed during an annual evaluation continues to grow and exceeded one million for the first time during the reporting period October 2017-September 2018, although this was partly due to including lessons associated with Mothers in Motion. See table below:
wichealth.org Newsletters: Please see the November and December 2019 wichealth.org newsletters attached.
Please help promote wichealth.org to WIC participants to increase usage of this resource.
