SUBJECT 1: FFY 2021 LAP Due August 31, 2020. All WIC, Nutrition, Retailer and Breastfeeding Coordinators received an email on August 4th stating the FFY 2021 online Local Agency Plan (LAP) is ready for entry. If you have problems accessing the LAP, you should call the ITSD Help Desk at 800-347-0887 to have your password reset.
The website to access the LAP can be found here and then select Online Applications. The first link, LAP-Local Agency Plan, is the link for the LAP. The LAP Manual and Technical Assistance Packet (TAP) can also be found on this page.
The FFY 2021 LAP is due to the state agency by Monday, August 31, 2020.
If you have questions regarding the functionality or completion of the LAP for your agency, please contact a member of your WIC Technical Assistance Team.
SUBJECT 2: Microcuvette and Analyzer Order – Response Required. It’s time to order microcuvettes by completing the survey. Please follow the instructions below to ensure your agency receives an adequate supply of microcuvettes and/or analyzers:
- Microcuvette Survey: Please complete and return the attached survey via e-mail to WICOperations@health.mo.gov by August 20, 2020. This will ensure no interruption in the supply of microcuvettes. Please verify that you use the most recent survey.
- Microcuvette Order: The information from the survey will be used to identify the current supply on hand at each agency and to estimate the needs of each agency for the next six months. The microcuvette order will be shipped directly to your agency.
- Analyzers: Analyzers are also available to agencies by completing the request and justification.
JOB POSTING: Full-Time Nutritionists/Dietitians – Samuel U. Rodgers WIC Program. Samuel U Rodgers WIC Program has immediate openings for 2 full time Nutritionist/Dietitians. The candidate must have graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Nutrition, Dietetics, Home Economics, or closely related field; including or supplemented by at least fifteen (15) semester hours in food and nutrition including diet therapy and community nutrition. The selected candidate will provide nutrition education to WIC eligible participants and assess their nutritional needs for certification eligibility.
JOB POSTING: Full-Time WIC Clerk/Health Professional Assistant – Family Care Health Centers. Family Care Health Centers is accepting applications for a full time WIC Clerk / Health Professional Assistant (HPA). Responsibilities include determining eligibility of WIC applicants, collecting and documenting height, weight, blood work data, and providing clerical support. Strong customer service skills required. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED; 1+ years WIC experience preferred.
