SUBJECT 1: WIC Invoices. WIC invoices for May 2019 (submitted for payment in the month of June), along with prior months, must be submitted through the Online WIC Invoicing System by close of business Friday, June 7, 2019. Invoices submitted after that date will be held and paid in July 2019. This change in schedule complies with the close of the State Fiscal Year 2019 payment processing deadlines. SUBJECT 2: MOWINS Help Desk Closure. The MOWINS Help Desk will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Help Desk will check email periodically throughout the day on the 19th.

SUBJECT 3: TN3270 Software Update. WIC was recently informed by the State Data Center of a setting that will need to be changed in TN3270 software. TN3270 is the software required to access the “green screens” for Vital Records, WIC, and other mainframe systems. The settings increase the security on the communication between the software and the server. Instructions are attached to walk the local agency users through the process on how to change the settings. This process will need to be completed by June 13, 2019. If local agencies have their own IT support, work directly with them to get the changes as required. For assistance or questions, please call ITSD Help Desk at 800-347-0887.

SUBJECT 4: Updated! eWIC Webpage. The Missouri WIC program has updated its website with new eWIC information for families, retailers, and local agencies. Please access the new eWIC webpage from the link, Missouri WIC by selecting “eWIC” located on the right side column. JOB POSTING: Part Time WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor - City of St. Joseph Health Department. The City of St. Joseph Health Department is currently accepting applications for a part time Breastfeeding Peer Counselor position, for 8 to 12 hours per week, within the WIC Program. The selected candidate will give basic breastfeeding information, support and encouragement to pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, and serve as a role model for breastfeeding women. JOB POSTING: WIC Certifier- Clay County Public Health Center. Clay County Public Health Center (CCPHC) is nationally accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board. This position is full-time and is responsible for assisting clients in the program by collecting and entering data needed for the certification. Duties will also include assisting with nutrition education, issuing food prescriptions, and assessing risk factors. A high school diploma/GED is required; an Associate Degree in a related field is preferred. Excellent communication, computer, organizational and attention to detail skills are required, while two years of related experience is preferred.
