JOB POSTING: Nutritionist/Dietitian - People’s Health Centers. People’s Health Centers WIC Program has an immediate opening for a full time Nutritionist/Dietitian in the WIC program. The candidate must have graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Nutrition, Dietetics, Home Economics, or closely related field; including or supplemented by at least fifteen (15) semester hours in food and nutrition including diet therapy and community nutrition. The selected candidate will provide nutrition education to WIC eligible participants and assess their nutritional needs for certification eligibility. JOB POSTING: Part Time WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor - City of St. Joseph Health Department. The City of St. Joseph Health Department is currently accepting applications for a part time Breastfeeding Peer Counselor position, for 8 to 12 hours per week, within the WIC Program. The selected candidate will give basic breastfeeding information, support and encouragement to pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, and serve as a role model for breastfeeding women. JOB POSTING: WIC Certifier- Clay County Public Health Center. Clay County Public Health Center (CCPHC) is nationally accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board. This position is full-time and is responsible for assisting clients in the program by collecting and entering data needed for the certification. Duties will also include assisting with nutrition education, issuing food prescriptions, and assessing risk factors. A high school diploma/GED is required; an Associate Degree in a related field is preferred. Excellent communication, computer, organizational and attention to detail skills are required, while two years of related experience is preferred. CCPHC offers a competitive total compensation package.
