SUBJECT 1: Delay on FDA Approval for Enfamil EnfaCare NeuroPro (RTU) 32 oz. This is a change to the WIC Weekly Update message – April 29, 2019. Enfamil EnfaCare NeuroPro (RTU) 32 oz is not currently available due to additional time required for FDA approval. Enfamil EnfaCare (RTU) 8 oz 6-pack has been reactivated until further notice. Please use “6-PACK (8 OZ) ENFACARE RTU” to issue Enfamil EnfaCare (RTU). This delay affects the Enfamil EnfaCare (RTU) change listed on Page 1 of the FFRG Formula Listing (Effective June 1, 2019), which should be disregarded at this time. Local Agency staff should do a Reset/Update in MOWINS to avoid any errors to food prescriptions. If staff encounter any problems in MOWINS they should contact the MOWINS Help Desk at 800-554-2544. For all other questions related to this topic please contact Takako Tagami at Takako.Tagami@health.mo.gov for questions.
SUBJECT 2: MOWINS Help Desk Closure. The MOWINS Help Desk will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Help Desk will check email periodically throughout the day on the 19th.
SUBJECT 2: USDA Survey – "Third National Survey of WIC Participants." The USDA Food and Nutrition Service has contracted with Capital Consulting Corporation and their partners to conduct a national WIC participant survey. Local agencies receiving an email from Dr. Allison Magness with 2M Research, are encouraged to participate in this survey, as requested. Not all agencies will receive the survey invitation. In addition to local agency surveys, the survey team will recruit WIC participants to take part in certification and program experiences surveys. WIC participants completing a survey will receive gift card vouchers. If participants inquire about the survey, please confirm that it is a USDA sponsored survey and that it will not affect their participation in the WIC program. Please direct any questions to your district TA staff.
