SUBJECT 1: Upcoming State Holiday. The WIC state agency will be closed, and there will be no MOWINS Help Desk coverage on Wednesday, January 1.
SUBJECT 2: WIC Medicaid Billing Guidance Memo. The state agency has prepared guidance to assist local agencies in establishing billing procedures that protect participant confidentiality, yet allow local agencies to respond to audit inquiries for Medicaid billing documentation. The memo, LA Guidance Memo – WIC Participant Confidentiality for Medicaid Billing, provides information about obtaining WIC participant permission to bill Medicaid and to provide responses to Medicaid audits. Please direct questions to Angie Brenner at Angie.Brenner@health.mo.gov
SUBJECT 3: Breast Pump Order Shipping. The state agency will be shipping orders for double pumping kits (Personal Accessory Sets), Hygeia EnHande manual breast pumps, Pump In Style Personal Double Electric Pumps, and Hygeia tote bags over the next week. When you receive your order, please email Karen Moellenbeck at firstname.lastname@example.org to acknowledge receipt of the items. Due to limited stock, and to best meet the needs of multiple agencies, some orders were reduced. If your order was reduced, you received an email with your new order quantities. The state agency anticipates offering another order opportunity with more flexibility.
