SUBJECT 1: Change to Maximizing Nutrition During the WIC Lifecycle Training Springfield Location. The location for the Maximizing Nutrition During the WIC Lifecycle training, scheduled in Springfield on July 19th, has been changed due to a scheduling conflict. The training will now be held at The Library Station, Frisco Room, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway, in Springfield. Attendees have been asked to park on the lot behind the bank, on the south side of the library. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. JOB POSTING: Nutritionist/Dietitian - Affinia Healthcare. Affinia Healthcare has an immediate opening for a full time Nutritionist/Dietitian in the WIC program. The candidate must have graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Nutrition, Dietetics, Home Economic, or closely related field; including or supplemented by at least fifteen (15) semester hours in food and nutrition including diet therapy and community nutrition. The selected candidate will provide nutrition education to WIC eligible participants and assess their nutritional needs for certification eligibility. JOB POSTING: WIC Nutritionist - Platte County Health Department. The Platte County Health Department is seeking a Nutritionist to provide individual assessment and counseling support for breastfeeding, pregnant, and postpartum women; infants; and children to age 5. Duties also include individual and group education and will be responsible for daily clinic functions. This position is full time (40 hours per week). This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, including fifteen credit hours of food and nutrition. WIC experience helpful and must be reliable and able to work in a team environment. Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor is expected at all times. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefit package.
