SUBJECT 1: State Breastfeeding Coordinator - Central WIC Office. The Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), Bureau of WIC and Nutrition Services, currently has an opening for a Nutrition Specialist that will function as the State Breastfeeding Coordinator. This position is located in the Central WIC Office in Jefferson City. Please see the attached “position blurb” for additional information. Interested individuals must be eligible for the job classification of Nutrition Specialist within the Missouri Merit System. SUBJECT 2: FFY 2016 End-Of-Year Invoicing Due December 9, 2016. The deadline for submission of FFY (Federal Fiscal Year) 2016 end-of-year invoices is Friday, December 9, 2016. Expenses must have been incurred prior to October 1, 2016 to qualify for the FFY 2016 funding year. The grant year will close at the end of December and payments beyond this date are not possible. Consumer Insights on Dairy's Role in Clean & Clear Labeling
The Midwest Dairy Council invites you to join experts from FleishmanHillard as they summarize recent survey responses that showcase consumers’ perceptions about how dairy foods fit into the growing clean and clear labeling trend and how this impacts dairy purchases. This live webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, December 6th from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., will also share information on topics including the growth of the clean labeling trend in both the food processing and foodservice industries, consumer understanding of core dairy nutrition and lactose intolerance messages and impact on purchase, and knowledge of nutritional and clean/clear differences between dairy products and dairy alternatives.
Infant Formula Stretching: A Pediatrician’s Guide to Addressing the Critical Needs of Food-Insecure Families
The North American Center for Continuing Medical Education presents Virginia A. Stallings, MD and Megan Oberle, MD in a recorded webinar designed to inform viewers about appropriate screening tools used to identify families of infants at risk of formula-stretching practices that may result from food-insecurities. It will also discuss enforced regulations and clinical evidence that support the safety, tolerability, and nutritional comparability of all FDA approved infant formulas, and translate clinical evidence of infant formula switching to effective patient education, addressing family concerns of nutritional value, safety, tolerability, and affordability.
