The update contains the most recent guidelines from the CDC. SUBJECT 2: Neocate Infant with DHA and ARA. The WIC Help Desk is receiving calls from LWPs that their participants cannot get Neocate Infant with DHA and ARA at the grocery stores. We contacted the manufacturer and informed them of this problem. It appears it has to do with a UPC number that the retailer is using, which is being corrected. We are also contacting the retailers to give them the correct UPC number. We currently have 24 participants being issued this formula. If your participants who are on this formula are having problems with the retailers being able to order this please let the Help Desk know. Please do not wait until the end of the month before acting on this. It will be too late for the participant to get their formula if this happens at the end of the month.
