SUBJECT 3: Checks and Check-Stock. We have been made aware of an increase in the number of checks that are not readable in the banking system. When the MICR line at the bottom of the checks is not aligned correctly, the check must be hand-keyed. This increases the chance of errors, as well as an increase in processing costs. The State Office is investigating many areas to address this issue, but we are also requesting help from each agency. When loading the check stock into the printer, please take a moment to ensure the horizontal and vertical paper guides are snug to the check stock. Also, after printing checks take a few moments to ensure they printed correctly, i.e. - are not skewed and one check prints per delineated area on the paper. If you are having problems with checks printing correctly please contact Mark Davis at firstname.lastname@example.org
SUBJECT 4: Updated Income Guidelines. The income guidelines have been updated and are now approved by USDA. The updated income guidelines are attached; use this one and not the version sent in an email by Mark Davis on March 31, 2015. The laminated cards will be printed and sent to LWPs and should arrive in late May or early June.
If you have questions, please contact Mark Davis at Mark.Davis@health.mo.gov or 573-526-5323 or 800-392-8209. (ONE ATTACHMENT)
