CDC Breast Pump Cleaning Guidelines.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently published a fact sheet with guidelines on cleaning breast pump parts safely. These guidelines are appropriate to use with any breast pump and may be printed and provided to participants, or provided electronically. The fact sheet is available here.
Proper Use of Nipple Shield
Occasionally women need to use a nipple shield as a short term solution for a breastfeeding problem. This handout provides guidance to women on how to use a nipple shield, tips for success, and how to wean from a nipple shield. (Available for download only.)

2022 State Plan
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is soliciting public comment on the proposed Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Special Supplemental Nutrition Program FFY 2022 State Plan, which covers the period beginning October 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2022. The State Plan describes the State agency's objectives and procedures for all aspects of WIC Program administration for the 2022 federal fiscal year.
All public comments are welcome and should be directed to the attention of WICinfo@health.mo.gov via email, fax to 573-526-1470 or mail to Angela Brenner, WIC and Nutrition Services, P.O. Box 570, 930 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0570. Comments will be included in the final copy of the plan which must be submitted to the US Department of Agriculture by August 15, 2021.
