Dancing Star LLC, Buckland, MA Issues Voluntary Recall For Various Snacks

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services received information regarding a voluntary recall of various snacks from Dancing Star LLC, Buckland, Ma., because of possible Salmonella contamination. The recalled products include:

Dancing Star LLC brand:

Carob Supergreens Chunks of Energy

Carob Supergreens Chunks of Energy.

Date Flax with Turmeric Chunks of Energy

Date Flax Turmeric Chunks of Energy

Rave Bites Brand:

Rave Bites Carob Supergreens

Rave Bites Date Flax with Turmeric

Bulk Carob Powder:

Bulk organic Carob powder

There are no other flavors of Dancing Star Chunks of Energy or Rave Bites being recalled. The recalled items are distributed nationwide and sold to retail stores, some of them in bulk for the sales of smaller quantities to their customers. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. Consumers who have purchased this item are urged to not eat the product, and to dispose of it or return it to the store where it was originally purchased for credit. This precautionary action was taken because the products contain Carob Powder that was part of Ciranda Inc.'s Organic Carob powder recall. The company is working closely with FDA on this issue.
