Unplanned Pregnancy Assistance

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services can provide information and referral information for women who think they might have an unplanned pregnancy or who have been diagnosed with an unplanned pregnancy.  Provider information is available to assist a woman to carry her pregnancy to term instead of having an abortion.  The department does not provide information on abortions or abortion providers.

This program is no longer implemented by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services but is implemented by the Office of Administration.  For information contact the Office of Administration at 573-751-1851.

There are other programs and services available to pregnant women and mothers of newborn children offered by public or private agencies which assist a woman in carrying her pregnancy to term and assist her in caring for her dependent child, placing her child for adoption, including but not limited to: prenatal care; maternal health care; newborn or infant care; mental health services; housing programs; utility assistance; transportation services; food, clothing, and supplies related to pregnancy; parenting skills; educational programs; job training and placement services; drug and alcohol testing and treatment; and adoption assistance. These agencies are commonly referred to as pregnancy resource centers, crisis pregnancy centers, maternity homes, and adoption agencies. Lists are also available for ultrasound providers and other service providers.

Additional pregnancy assistance information can be obtained by calling at 1-800-TEL-LINK or 1-800-835-5465 M-F, 8am to 5pm, excluding state holidays.  You may leave a message during non-working hours and an operator will return your call the next business day.”
