SUBJECT 4: CEU Corner.
Vitamin E: Setting the Record Straight
For 90 years, Vitamin E research has produced prolific and notable discoveries, including isolation from plants, chemical identifications, and total syntheses. Today, the brightest spot for tocotrienol research is in chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, cancer, and osteopenia/osteoporosis. This recorded webinar will cover important milestones in Vitamin E research, and identify current sources and compositions of tocotrienols. Dr. Barrie Tan, in association with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, will highlight the latest studies. There is a registration cost of $19 (members) or $49 (non-members) associated with this training.

101 Kosher Dietary Laws, Customs and Traditions
As we know, in order to help better counsel patients, one has to understand their culture and traditions, and how they relate to the foods they eat. This recorded webinar, presented by Sally Dorfzaun in association with Dietitian Central, will cover basic kosher dietary laws, customs and traditions. Understanding this lifestyle will help you to better guide and counsel this population in achieving their ultimate nutrition goals. The webinar will also help attendees to identify kosher food symbols and understand main dietary restrictions/traditions for main Jewish holidays. There is a registration cost of $18 associated with this training and you must join Dietitian Central (at no cost) in order to participate.
