JOB OPENING: Part-Time Breastfeeding Peer Counselor - Family Care Health Centers. Family Care Health Centers is accepting applications for a part-time (8 hrs./week) Breastfeeding Peer Counselor. Responsibilities include providing breastfeeding information and support to new mothers and their families and helping them achieve their breastfeeding goals. JOB OPENING: Part-Time WIC Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist - Pike County Health Department. The Pike County Health Department is accepting applications for a part time Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist in the WIC Program. This position is responsible for planning and implementation of the nutritional components of the local WIC Program as well as providing nutrition and breastfeeding counseling and education to eligible families. WIC experience and training in advanced lactation preferred. JOB OPENING: Nutritionist - City of St. Joseph Health Department. This position assists with administering the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program while following the policies and procedures established by the federal and state government and participates in the development and implementation of nutritional counseling and education for the local WIC Nutrition Program. No supervisory responsibilities, limited budgetary responsibilities, and coordinates nutrition and breastfeeding services provided to participants in the WIC Program. Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in a nutrition related field with at least 15 semester hours in food and nutrition; including at least one course in diet therapy and one course in community nutrition.
