JOB OPENING: FULL-TIME WIC NUTRITIONIST (NUTRITION TECHNICIAN) - ST. LOUIS COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH


SUBJECT 1: Microcuvette & Analyzer Deliveries: Agencies scheduled to receive a shipment of microcuvettes and/or analyzers should begin receiving their shipment the week of February 23, 2015.

Once you have received your order, please verify the number of microcuvettes and analyzers received with the number listed on the packing slip. If the number of microcuvettes/analyzers in the package is the same as the packing slip, sign and date the packing slip. Please fax the packing slip to Lori Baysinger at 573-526-1470, within one week of receiving the shipment. Confirmation on the packing slip is required in order for the State WIC Office to pay for the microcuvettes and send WIC tags for the analyzers. If the number of microcuvettes/analyzers received is different from the packing slip, please call Lori Baysinger at 800-392-8209. If you are unable to locate your packing slip, please send an email stating how many boxes or analyzers you received and the date you received the shipment to Lori.Baysinger@health.mo.gov. Thank you for your prompt cooperation

SUBJECT 2: Nutrition Update Training - Posted March 3rd. The PowerPoint of the Nutrition Updates training that was conducted in February throughout MO has been posted in the WIC Training Portal > LWP Staff > Program Updates link > e-Learning section. This training will provide counseling staff (CPA/Nutritionist) with information on phase II of the WIC Final Food Rule and findings from our USDA Management Evaluation. SUBJECT 3: Missouri WIC Approved Food List (Effective Apr. 1, 2015 - Sep. 30, 2017): The State Office plans to ship the new WIC approved food list (Effective April 1, 2015 - September 30, 2017) to all local WIC providers by March 6, 2015 for participant’s use. JOB OPENING: Full-Time WIC Nutritionist - People’s Health Centers. St. Louis Missouri BJK People's Health Centers is currently accepting applications for a full-time Nutritionist in the WIC program. This position is responsible for providing nutrition and breastfeeding counseling and education to eligible families. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; including or supplemented by 15 semester hours in food and nutrition from a 4-year program. Required course work includes at least one course in diet therapy or medical nutrition therapy I & II and one course in community nutrition or nutrition in the life cycle. WIC experience preferred.
