SUBJECT 1: Computer Use During Participant Encounters. It’s common to hear concerns about how computer use negatively affects communication with participants. Attached is a report on a study of physician computer use and patient perception of care. This article is from Medscape. The study points out that there are different kinds of rapport building and offers some suggestions for improving the patient experience. (ONE ATTACHMENT)

JOB OPENING: Full-Time WIC Nutritionist - Saint Charles County Health Department. The St. Charles County Health Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time Nutritionist in the Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program. This position is responsible for providing nutrition education and counseling to participants, and identifying clients for nutrition related risks. Minimum qualifications include Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Home Economics, Public Health Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or closely related field with 15 hours of food and nutrition coursework including diet therapy and community nutrition.
