SUBJECT 5: New Southeast District Nutritionist. Please welcome Stephanie Pruess, RDN, LD, IBCLC to the WIC team.  Stephanie started as the SE District Nutritionist on Monday, August 17, 2015.  She is located in the district office at 1903 Northwood in Poplar Bluff.  Her phone number is 573.840.9572.  You may reach her by email at Stephanie.Pruess@health.mo.gov

Stephanie was most recently a WIC Nutritionist at the Peoria City/County Health Department in Peoria, IL for 7 years, where the clinic caseload is 4800.  Prior to that, she spent 19 months at Butler County Health Department in Poplar Bluff as lead dietitian on the Healthy and Active Communities grant funded through the Missouri Foundation for Health and also filled in as WIC Nutritionist.  Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Missouri State University in Springfield and completed her dietetics internship in Peoria, IL.  We are pleased to have Stephanie fill the vacancy in Southeast District.

SUBJECT 6: MOWINS Changes to Take Place November 1 and December 1, 2015. IMPORTANT! There will be changes made to some risk factors and to MOWINS effective November 1 and December 1.  Please see the attached summary and policies lists for these changes. (TWO ATTACHMENTS)

SUBJECT 7: WOM Policy Update. There are three (3) WOM policies that have been revised.  Please see below.  They were posted in the WOM on Monday, August 24th and are in effect now:

SUBJECT 8: Missouri WIC Association (MWA) Invitation. The Missouri WIC Association would like to invite agencies to become more involved with MWA.  In the attachments is a letter that briefly explains what MWA does, who is a member and a goal they are working to achieve in this upcoming year.  MWA is also soliciting for potential Board Members in the Southwest, Southeast and Eastern Districts for October 2015’s election.  Please see the attached Board Member Application for the description of the duties.  If this is something you are interested in, please fill out the Board Member Application and submit it to Deb Cullum at cullud@lpha.mopublic.org or Rhonda Breitenbecher at breitr@lpha.mopublic.org no later than September 30, 2015.  The election ballots and an explanation of the who and how to vote will be posted on the MWA website in October.  Please contact Rhonda at breitr@lpha.mopublic.org or 660-747-6121 ext. 272 if you have further questions.
