SUBJECT 1: Secrets of Baby Behavior Training

  1. Secrets of Baby Behavior Training: Due to the over whelming response to this training in the Kansas City area, another session has been scheduled for the morning of October 30th. There is now a session available in the morning and another one in the afternoon. Except for the afternoon training in Independence, there are still openings at all training sites. Training dates and locations are listed on the attached registration form. If you are interested in attending one of these sessions please complete the form and email to Reba Brown at Reba.Brown@health.mo.gov.

This training is based on Dr. Jane Heinig’s research from UC Davis and will assist all local WIC provider staff to understand what normal newborn behavior is and how it relates to infant feeding. Materials from this training will assist WIC agencies in providing baby behavior education in a consistent and effective manner. A short presentation will also be provided on Missouri milk banks and depots. All local WIC provider staff are encouraged to attend. Peer Counselors received this training in January and this is another opportunity for those who were unable to attend previously. If you have any questions about the training please contact Kathy Mertzlufft by email at Kathy.Mertzlufft@health.mo.gov or by phone at 573-526-4792. (ONE ATTACHMENT)
