  2. Truman’s Holiday Survey-Action Required:  Please complete this short survey at http://webapp03.dhss.mo.gov/snapwebhost/surveylogin.asp?k=129960649762

  3. Civil Rights Compliance:  Please note revisions to the Civil Rights statement.  Although the statement remains the same, the updated information includes a number for individuals that are hearing impaired or have speech disabilities.  In addition, a number has been added for Spanish speaking individuals.  The new federal contact information will need to be reflected on all printed material as follows:

To file a complaint of discrimination write U.S. Department of Agriculture, Director, Office of Adjudication,1400 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20250-9410 or call (866) 632-9992 (voice) or (202) 260-1026 (local) or (800) 795-3272 (toll free). Individuals who are hearing impaired or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339; or (800) 845-6136 (Spanish). USDA is an equal opportunity provider.

LWPs can continue using any current supply of forms and educational materials which contain the old information to assist with the cost of reprinting.  However, once depleted, all new or reprinted material must contain the new information as stated above.  As a reminder, the non-discrimination statement must be printed in the same size font as the printed Program material.  In addition the LWPS are still allowed to use the abbreviated non-discrimination statements as follows: “This institution is an equal opportunity provider.”

The Civil Rights policy – has been revised since the release of the 2010-2011 WOM.  With this revision, it requires the Civil Rights Self-Paced Training manual to be completed by all new staff within 60 days from their date of hire and then annually thereafter.

If you have questions, please contact your District TA Team.
