Information on how to apply will be announced in the WIC Updates in a couple of weeks. In order to use the on-line application, you must complete an ASAP request to have access. Below are the values that need to be selected when completing the ASAP form:
Area Type: HEALTH APPLICATIONS
Health Area Type: WIC BF APPLICATION
Request Type: ADD ACCESS
Role: WIC BF APPLICANT
Other Role/Report Type: Choose appropriate WIC agency
Effective Date: current date
It is recommended that the staff person in your agency that will be responsible for completing these applications to complete the ASAP request as soon as possible, so they will have access when it is time to apply. If you have any questions please contact, Kathy Mertzlufft at Kathy.Mertzlufft@health.mo.gov or call her at 573-526-4792.
WIC Help Desk Meetings: The WIC Help Desk staff will have a meeting once a month. During these meetings, there will be no help desk coverage. All meetings are held on Fridays from 8:15 am to 10:15 am. We chose these hours because some local agencies are not open on Fridays and there are not usually many calls. Although staff will not be available during these hours, feel free to leave a message and all calls will be returned as soon as possible. The dates for the second quarter of 2011 are April 22nd, May 20th, and June 24th. The purpose of these meetings is to review processes and procedures in order to provide the highest quality customer service to local agencies and WIC participants. All dates for help desk meetings will be posted on the WIC Help Desk website.
If you have questions, please contact Melissa Seaver at 800-554-2544 or
