  1. Mandatory Revision 10 Risk Factor Training:  Revision 10 Risk-Factor training will be a pre-recorded Webinar available in August.  The purpose of the training is to provide the certifying staff (WIC Certifier, CPA/Nutritionist) with information on revised risk factors and new risk factors.  Having the training pre-recorded will allow certifying staff to complete the required training at their convenience.  Registration is not required.

    A two-hour post-training conference call is scheduled in September for each district  The post-training conference calls will not be mandatory, but suggested, and will allow local agencies to ask questions regarding the Revision 10 implementation.

  2. Non-discrimination Statement:  Please note the revisions to the Civil Rights statement. Although the statement remains the same, the mailing address and telephone numbers have changed.  The new federal contact information will need to be reflected on all printed material as follows:

    LWPs can continue using any current supply of forms and educational materials which contain the old information to assist with the cost of reprinting.  However, once depleted all new or reprinted material must contain the new information as stated above.  As a reminder, the non-discrimination statement must be printed in the same size font as the printed Program material.  When space is an issue, the LWPs are still allowed to use the following abbreviated non-discrimination statement:

Revised policies since the release of the 2010-2011 WOM:  Policies that have been revised since the release of the 2010-2011 WOM are now posted on the WIC Website under the section titled “Revised WOM Policies.” Posting all the revised policies since the release of the 2010-2011 WOM in one area will assist staff in locating the revised policies.  If you have any questions, please contact your district TA team.

  2. WIC May Invoices:  WIC Invoices for May 2010, or earlier months, submitted for payment in the month of June, must be submitted through the Online WIC Invoicing Application by close of business Wednesday, June 9, 2010.  Invoices submitted after that date will be held and paid in July 2010.  This change in schedule complies with the close of State Fiscal Year 2010 payment processing deadlines.  If you have questions please contact Laura Weiler at: or 573-526-7901.
