SUBJECT 1: MOWINS Enhancement Request
SUBJECT 2: MOWINS Reports Request
SUBJECT 3: H1N1 Toll Free Information Line

  1. MOWINS Enhancement Request:  The MOWINS enhancement request website is ready for agencies to use beginning immediately. When you enter your request, please include as much detail as you can.  The more detail you give, the easier it will be to determine the change wanted and prioritize them from a clinic operations stand point.

Example: Change the cycle on all family members and not have to do one at a time.  Would you want to automatically change the cycle on all family members or would you want to see a list of family members and then click a check box beside each one.  Or would you want a list of all family members with a check box for each one plus another check box to include all.  That way you can check each family member or mark the box to include all.

For assistance with the website, please contact Melissa Seaver at Melissa.Seaver@health.mo.gov
For assistance with a specific enhancement request, please contact your district TA staff.

  2. MOWINS Reports Request:  The MOWINS reports request website is ready for agencies to use beginning immediately.

A website has been created for agencies to request reports from MOWINS.
The form asks for details about the report(s) that you want, such as aggregate or detail data.  When you view the report, the first question asks if this request is for a new report or an existing report.  The existing report means “Was there a HANDS report that contained the data you are requesting and if yes, what were the number and/or name of the report?”

When you enter your request, please include as much detail as you can.  The more detail you give, the easier it will be to write the new report from MOWINS and to prioritize them from a clinic operations stand point.

Example:  I want a report that gives me all the pregnant women in my agency.  Do you want all prenatals as of the first of the current month or do you want all prenatals as of today?  Do you want the full address and phone number or just phone number?  Do you want it by clinic site or do you want all clinic sites together (if multi clinic agency)?

For assistance with the website, please contact Melissa Seaver at Melissa.Seaver@health.mo.gov
For assistance with a specific report request, please contact your district TA staff.

  3. H1N1 Toll Free Information Line:  The Department of Health and Senior Services has a new toll-free number for more information about the H1N1 flu and the vaccine to prevent it.  Please share the following information.  The number, 1-877-FLU-4141 (1-877-358-4141) will be answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

H1N1 Flu InfoLine specialists will answer questions about flu symptoms, when to seek medical care and the new H1N1 flu vaccine, now available at locations throughout the state.  Medical professionals will be available to assist with the calls.

The Flu InfoLine is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.  In addition, the department has developed several tools you can use to promote Missouri’s new toll-free number for information about the H1N1 flu and the vaccine to prevent it.  A poster (8.5 by 11 inches), a message card (3.5 x 8.5 inches) and a web button providing information about the H1N1 Flu InfoLine are attached.  If you want to place the web button on your Web site, please be sure to list the telephone number with all its digits.

For more information about the flu, go to the state health department’s Web site.
