February 22, 2005 WIC Update
SUBJECT: E-Mail From State WIC Office Week of February 22 - 25, 2005
- The state WIC office invites participants to register for the WIC Certifier Training scheduled for May 17, 2005. The WIC Certifier training is a one-day special training session designed for Local WIC providers who want to implement the WIC Certifier position. Individuals who have already completed Track 1 (clerical) or Track 1 and 2 (clerical and HPA) of the Missouri State WIC Track Training are invited to attend the training.
If you have any questions regarding WIC Certifier Statewide implementation contact your respective district WIC Nutritionist.
Please complete the attached training registration form and submit it to D’Anne Ward at 573 522 6501 or email firstname.lastname@example.org no later than March 31st.
- The State WIC Office is gradually replacing the LWP HemoCue analyzers and microcuvettes. As LWPs receive these please complete the attached and fax to Crystal Collins at 573-526-1470. Please keep the old HemoCue analyzers. HemoCue is making arrangements to pick them up. HemoCue will be providing an in-service on the HB201 analyzer. There should also be a training CD with the new analyzers for your review for using the analyzers.
- National Infant Immunization Awareness Week is April 24-30, 2005. Below is a link to CDC's webpage on this topic. It provides useful information and materials that can be used to promote infant immunizations during this week. Please share as needed.
